- ➤ St. Joseph Museums will host its annual free Santa at the Mansion event at Wyeth Tootle Mansion on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. Visitors can join a new Mystery at the Mansion scavenger hunt & snap a photo with Santa, with pets welcome. St. Joseph Post

- ➤ MSHSAA state volleyball and football championships brought over $12 million in economic impact as November and early December events drew 8,418 and 19,500 fans to Civic Arena and local sites; the city will host volleyball championships in 2026 and 2027 and football championships from 2026 to 2028. - ➤ The United Way’s Success By 6 hosts a training titled 'Seeing Strength, Shaping Supports: Autism-Informed Teaching for Every Learner' on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Wyatt Park Christian Church Fellowship Hall from 8 to 11 a.m. (registration is $15) and offers light refreshments (open to all community members). - ➤ On Tuesday, over 3,000 students from 20 local schools visited the MWSU Fieldhouse for Education Day at MoWest where they cheered on the Griffons men's basketball team, which won by a final score of 98 to 81 over Avila University. KQ2
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ MoDOT will close the north interchange between I-29 and 229 north of Saint Joseph from 8 a.m. Thursday to 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19 (for concrete replacement), affecting the northbound lanes of 229, Hwy 71, and Hwy 59 and the ramp from southbound I-29 to northbound 71. St. Joseph Post
