- ➤ The AFL-CIO's Adopt-A-Family program in Saint Joseph needs more adopters, volunteers and toy donations to support families this holiday season as the gift room opens Dec. 17 and the last day to adopt a family is Christmas Eve. KQ2

- ➤ South Side’s Sub Sandwich Shop reopened this morning at 6101 South Lake Ave after a September 8 collision injured two & a location near Karnes Road remains temporarily closed. St. Joseph Post
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Parents gathered at East Hills Library from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for an online safety seminar where cybersecurity specialist Byron Gorman warned that over 9,000 predators are active on Roblox and advised creating a safe space for kids to share their concerns + report incidents if necessary. KQ2
- ➤ Alpha Psi Omega from Northwest Missouri State University will present 'The Day the Crayons Quit: An Unofficial Adaptation' at 3 p.m. on Sunday in the Studio Theater at Ron Houston Center (free admission) and then tour area elementary schools, accepting canned food donations for pantries. - ➤ The 23,000 sqft expansion at St. Joseph Christian School nears completion—featuring a new gym, locker rooms, a vocal music room and four classrooms—and will soon support multiple sports events. The school needs an additional $20,000 to complete its $10.16 million project while announcing leadership changes for next year. St. Joseph Post
