- ➤ At Saturday night’s Christmas party at Robidoux Row Museum, Jack Wing played Joseph Robidoux’s restored violin — a rare artifact from 150 years past — marking its first use since discovery by Megan Wyeth. Visitors can now view the instrument in the museum’s new music room. KQ2

- ➤ Mid-Buchanan Esports finished in the top 4 at state on Saturday, Dec. 6 at State Fair Community College in Sedalia. Their Valorant team placed 4th on Friday and the Overwatch team earned 3rd on Saturday. KQ2
- ➤ Platte County Football won consecutive state championships with a 34 to 28 overtime win against Carthage at Spratt Stadium on Dec. 5. Coaches with ties to Missouri Western (including Eric Mitchell, who ended a coaching career of nearly 30 years) celebrated the historic win with deep personal meaning. KQ2
