- ➤ The Tutu Trot will happen Saturday, Dec. 20 at Holiday Park (Krug Park) to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Participants should park in the side lot by 4 to 4:15 p.m. for a 4:30 p.m. lineup and enjoy hot cocoa, festive tutus, Cherry Mash and a medal. KQ2

- ➤ The Honey Baked Ham Company has chosen St. Joseph for a new franchise and plans to open before the 2026 holiday season — the company noted the city’s business-friendly climate and community support made it a top target, with a fallback to a 2027 holiday opening if needed. KQ2
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Carriage rides return for the holiday season with free rides on Saturday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Downtown St. Joseph + hayrides will be offered on Saturday, Dec. 13 along a route starting at 624 Felix. St. Joseph Post
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Cameron Public Library opened a new children’s space on Thursday in St. Joseph to give families a place for hands-on learning and relaxation. Director JoElen Pratt said the area meets a need for engaging activities and hints at more plans ahead for the library's 50th anniversary next April. KQ2

- ➤ St. Joseph Transit announced that the Woodbine Transfer Center will temporarily move to 1501 Village Drive on Monday, Dec. 8 — riders should expect minor route adjustments while scheduled times remain unchanged as the agency prepares for necessary facility upgrades. St. Joseph Post
