- ➤ The City of St. Joseph is hosting a Community Safety Fair on Saturday from 12-4 p.m. at College Hill Park at 12th and Henry Streets to help lower crime and clean up the neighborhood—city departments and local groups will offer free services like smoke detectors, dumpsters, and pet microchips. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Lindbergh Elementary School in St. Joseph introduced a vending machine that gives a golden token for a free book to students who achieved 95% attendance in September. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Missouri Department of Transportation announced ramp closures on I-229 in Saint Joseph for resurfacing; southbound ramps from 22nd Street to I-29 will close October 21st to 23rd and northbound ramps will close October 22nd and 23rd during daylight hours—closures are subject to weather delays.
