EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Young Eagles program offered local children a free chance to fly in small aircraft this weekend, with volunteer pilots giving rides and sharing their passion for aviation. Greg Starkel of the local Experimental Aircraft Association said the program aims to ease a pilot shortage and spark interest in aviation careers—helping kids explore new future opportunities. KQ2
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday, 127 riders joined a poker run organized by St. Joe Harley-Davidson that traveled to D&G Pub and Grub and Atchison before returning to support breast cancer awareness. The event raised over $1,500 for the Mosaic Cancer Care fund to help cover treatment needs—organizer Madison McCreary said funds assist with rides, treatment, and supplies. KQ2
