CULTURE NEWS

  • PumpkinFest celebrations in St. Joseph continued with a costume parade where families and children showcased creative outfits inspired by Disney characters, clowns, zombies and movie themes. The parade featured divisions for families, toddlers and infants and winners received gift bags — festivities will conclude tomorrow.  KQ2

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Missouri Western held its first homecoming parade of the MoWest era Saturday afternoon with nearly 40 groups marching and 38 groups at a tailgate—groups that included a tribute to the 50th Anniversary of Women's Athletics as they celebrated campus history.  KQ2

HEALTH NEWS

  • The Women's Expo returned to the Civic Arena this weekend with a focus on mental health—featuring a keynote speaker from Mosaic and strong local vendor participation. Organizers plan to bring back the event next year—inviting local boutiques, med spas, and restaurants to join the wellness conversation.  KQ2

SPORTS NEWS

  • East Buchanan High School volleyball lost to undefeated Oak Grove in the Bishop LeBlond Tournament Championship on Saturday after Oak Grove won in two sets with scores of 25-15 and 25-17, and East Buchanan will host Benton on Tuesday, October 7 at 6:30 p.m.  KQ2
