Good morning, Saint Joseph. Here's your local news at a glance for Saturday, the 4th of October.

COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Clean Sweep began Wednesday and will run through the 7th to let St. Joseph residents drop off unwanted items for free at the landfill at 9431 South East 50th Road—residents must bring a personal property tax receipt, photo ID, and follow limits like dropping off only six tires per vehicle. Fourth District Councilmember Michael Grimm said the event supports the city council’s goal to clean up the city.  St. Joseph Post

Reviews were positive and residents can call the bureau for details on future tours.  St. Joseph Post
  • The St. Joseph Goats are connecting with the community by offering a $5,000 partnership giveaway to a local business or organization that will be featured in team advertising opportunities + they will narrow nominations to five finalists by the end of October before letting fans choose the winner on social media.  KQ2
