- ➤ The Pony Express Museum in Saint Joseph will host Museum Day tomorrow with free admission from 9am to 5pm—featuring history re-enactments from 10am to 4pm and special displays such as a Native American exhibit and a new rider named Bean. St. Joseph Post
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ During September the St. Joseph Public Library urged residents to sign up for a library card with no fee for new or replacement cards. Director Mary Beth Revels said the card gives access to books, movies, free wi-fi, computers, printers, and apps like Hoopla for prize drawings at four branches. St. Joseph Post
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced that it had identified the remains of Sgt. Simon Garelick — a 22-year-old from St. Joseph — who perished as a prisoner of war during World War II. His family received a full briefing on his identification and he will be reburied in Kansas City on a future date. KQ2
