United Way of Greater St. Joseph launched its campaign today with pacesetter organizations pledging over $724k — the Powering Possibility effort will fund local services next year as officials visit community businesses and plan December volunteer meetings.

The Albrecht Kemper Museum of Art will host its second annual golf tournament on Monday, Sept.
14 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Moila Golf Course, where teams of four can compete for prizes (including a $10,000 Hole in One) and join a post-event gathering at the museum.

Leadership Northwest Missouri is recruiting its new 2027 class for a seven-month program that will help local leaders build skills and network across the 19-county region — applications are due Nov.

The deadline for tourism funding applications has been extended until November 1 for organizations seeking Transient Guest Sales Tax funding to boost local tourism in St. Joseph.
Applicants may obtain forms online or at the City Clerk’s Office (Room 303, City Hall at 1100 Frederick Ave).

Local high school football returns today with several games scheduled in the KFEQ/St. Joseph Post area, with kickoff times pushed back by an hour due to extreme heat.
