- ➤ At 8:45 a.m. Monday, a Kia Soul (headed to a medical emergency) hit a GMC Yukon at the Frederick Avenue stoplight on N. Belt Hwy, sparking a three-vehicle collision with minor injuries reported for all involved. KQ2
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art is opening a new exhibit called 4 Seasons to celebrate women artists—featuring work from Midwest artists. The exhibit will open with a free reception on Friday, September 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. and remain on display from September 20 through November 2. KQ2
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Missouri eliminated the luxury tax on period products and diapers last week—reducing the sales rate from 4.225% to 1.225% and exempting incontinence items from the higher tax rate. The new law follows years of bipartisan effort to ease costs and aligns Missouri with other states that have ended similar taxes. St. Joseph Post

- ➤ The Savannah Savages have been named the first Anderson Auto Group Team of the Week for the season after defeating Pleasant Hill 41 to 24 on Friday night — they earned the honor with strong plays. Quarterback Caylor Schrick rushed for 221 yards and four touchdowns while senior kicker Cam Arnold made five PATs and two field goals and Kaiden Phillips recorded nine tackles on defense. KQ2
