- ➤ Two groups are suing Missouri Secretary of State Denny Hoskins because they say his ballot language misleads voters about proposals to protect public education — his summaries falsely claim the measures would end aid for disabled students and private school support. Both groups hope to be on the 2026 ballot and ask a judge to correct what they call deceptive wording. St. Joseph Post
