COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Today, Kris and Kates Ice Cream hosted a car show in Saint Joseph to mark the end of summer—community members displayed a variety of vehicles including classic cars, trucks, motorcycles, mopeds, jeeps and miniature vans while enjoying ice cream cones.  KQ2
  • Local Jeep enthusiasts teamed with Baskin-Robbins in their lot on Sunday to hold an end-of-summer event that benefited the Friends of the Animal Shelter; many dogs were adopted quickly while local artists sold their work to support the shelter—demonstrating strong community care.  KQ2
  • Frederick Boulevard Baptist Church in St. Joseph celebrated its 125th anniversary with a morning of worship, sermons and fellowship—marking a long history that began in 1900 at Woodbine Road and Frederick Ave. It moved to 5502 Frederick Ave in 2003 and offered fun activities for children and food after the services.  KQ2

  • Mid-Buchanan Dragons will open their season Thursday night at home against the Plattsburg Tigers — they will travel to Lexington in week two.  KQ2
