- ➤ On August 2, author Elora Maxwell spoke with the public at the Story Collective in downtown St. Joseph about her new book, 'The River's Deception,' which is her fifth release since 2023. The book follows Lillian and Ben on an Amazon River adventure in the 1920s with mystery and supernatural themes — inspired by classic adventure films. KQ2

- ➤ At training camp at Missouri Western State University, the Chiefs offensive line battled as players like Josh Simmons, Jaylon Moore, and Jawaan Taylor shifted positions to earn a starting spot next week, and the team practiced for just over two hours today—Head Coach Andy Reid and offensive line coach Andy Heck will finalize the lineup before practice resumes Tuesday at 9:15 a.m.—.
