- ➤ On August 2, author Elora Maxwell spoke with the public at the Story Collective in downtown St. Joseph about her new book, 'The River's Deception,' which is her fifth release since 2023. The book follows Lillian and Ben on an Amazon River adventure in the 1920s with mystery and supernatural themes — inspired by classic adventure films. KQ2
