- ➤ On July 27, around 8:35 p.m., the St. Joseph Police Department sent an alert to avoid Sycamore Street between 8th and 9th as officers taped off the area and worked for about three and a half hours before reopening it shortly after midnight. KQ2
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Despite a massive heat warning and high humidity, Kansas City Chiefs fans gathered at Civic Center Park in St. Joseph to celebrate the start of the NFL season. The event featured performances by Blane Howard, Tech N9ne and others while a tailgate crew offered free food and water, and the team will hold its training camp practice and autograph session today at 9:15 a.m. at Missouri Western State University.
