- ➤ Today, local groups are hosting two 'Good Trouble Lives On' rallies to celebrate John Lewis—one by the NAACP and EMPAC in the parking lot of St. Francis Baptist Temple from 6-7:30 p.m. and another by the St. Joseph Persisterhood at the Belt Highway and Frederick Avenue intersection from 4-5:30 p.m. with Big Daddy's BBQ truck nearby for food. - ➤ InspireU held its first kid-friendly concert at its Saint Joseph location with special guest Jim Cosgrove (Mr. Stinky Feet) performing live music for families. He has entertained children for over 27 years and engaged the audience by encouraging families to sit together and enjoy the interactive show. KQ2
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Mosaic Life Care Foundation’s emPower-U STEAM Camp returned for the summer on July 14 and will run until Aug. 4 in St. Joseph. The camp offers hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, art and math for third to eighth grade students — giving them a chance to build skills for future careers. KQ2
- ➤ Missouri Western State University now uses the name MoWest for its community identity while keeping the official name on diplomas and transcripts—President Elizabeth Kennedy said the change aims to build stronger ties and boost attendance at sports events. St. Joseph Post

- ➤ The Missouri Department of Conservation’s RAM program is monitoring Missouri’s water flow—habitat conditions, stream connectivity, and aquatic life—to guide conservation and restoration efforts.
