  • United Way of Greater St. Joseph has shared a list of cooling centers and emergency shelters for the summer. The cooling centers are at local libraries and The Salvation Army, while the shelters include Community Missions My Brother's House, The Salvation Army Booth Center + YWCA Shelter.  KQ2
  • St. Joseph residents are picking up 'Welcome Chiefs' signs from the Visitors Bureau as they prepare for Chiefs Training Camp starting July 22 and a fan-open practice on July 23. Many locals say the team brings pride to town and that the signs are available at the East Hills Library & Convention Visitors Bureau while supplies last.  KQ2
  • AFL-CIO Community Services is reviving its 23rd-year Soles for Christ program that previously provided more than 15,000 shoes to Missouri children just before school started. Executive Director Nichi Seckinger said the program will help more families—volunteers are encouraged to join.  KQ2
