Good morning, Saint Joseph.

St. Joseph police responded Saturday evening to a two-vehicle accident at 36th & Faraon Street when a green vehicle failed to yield at a red light and collided with a black car, causing minor injuries to one person from each vehicle who were taken by EMS to Mosaic; authorities noted the busy intersection has extra resources due to its high crash rate.

St. Joseph Mustangs hosted an annual softball game on Public Safety Night where first responders from the Fire Department and local law enforcement played for the K9 Max Memorial Trophy.

The fire department's team won the hour-long contest and officials noted the friendly rivalry that builds strong ties among first responders.
