Annie Sobel and Rob Duncan donated funds to launch the new 21st Century Scouting: Invention Scouts program at Camp Geiger in Saint Joseph.
The program uses laser engravers and 3D printers (using resin or filament) to let scouts design projects like neck handkerchief ties and plan future projects such as building bridges and drone courses.

The St. Joseph Police Department said it will begin encrypting radio traffic in July to keep sensitive details safe—this change is meant to protect both officers and residents—and it will continue sharing updates through press releases and social media.
The move comes after a careful review of public safety needs and aims to secure communications during emergencies.
