- ➤ Rolling Hills Library hosted an Immigration 101 presentation this past weekend + Advocates for Immigrant Rights and Reconciliation led the session to explain how U.S. immigration policies impact local jobs in manufacturing and meatpacking in St. Joseph. AIRR plans to expand its outreach in northwest Missouri to educate more residents on immigrant contributions. KQ2
- ➤ This weekend, the Krug Park Fishing Derby brought families to the lagoon where children learned to fish for bass, catfish, and bluegill while winning prizes in honor of Dick Adkins—organized by his son Thomas with help from local Pat Jones. Organizers also offered free hot dogs and plan to share more free summer events on Krug Park’s Facebook page. KQ2
