United Way of Greater St. Joseph is giving fans at four community spots to help residents beat the heat.
Find them at United Way on Fifth, Interserv on King Hill Ave, Northwest Missouri Community Services on Sixth, & the Salvation Army on Messanie starting June 1.
🎭 Culture
HawkFest returns on June 12th at a new location outside the park due to renovations at Coleman Hawkins Park.
The one-night Blues and Jazz concert begins at 5:00 p.m. at 7th & Felix Streets and features local school groups.
🎓 Education
At a special Board of Education meeting Tuesday, the school board approved a financial report showing a move toward a balanced budget after years of deficits (with staff savings now over $6 million).
The report will guide next year's budget planning as the district reorganizes its high school model.
