- ➤ The St. Joseph Chamber partners with Main Street for the first annual Wild West Sloppy Joe Fest on July 10th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of Felix and North 7th—featuring a cook-off, hayrides, western reenactors, eating contests and a lasso show to support downtown businesses. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The East Hills Branch will host Oscar winning broadcaster Andrew McCrea on June 8 at 6 PM + he will share stories about Revolutionary War sites to mark America’s 250th anniversary. St. Joseph Post
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Missouri lawmakers approved a bill today requiring private insurers to cover a one-year supply of hormonal contraceptives (used to treat various conditions) starting in 2027. Governor Mike Kehoe must sign the measure for it to take effect. St. Joseph Post
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Mustangs lost their season opener 10-5 to the Kansas City Monarchs at Phil Welch Stadium on Thursday, May 28. The team will face the Carroll Merchants Friday at 7 p.m. as they begin their MINK League quest. St. Joseph Post
