- ➤ Flooding from recent storms has prompted the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office to close roads including MO 6 at the Platte River, Mitchell Road, and others (also FF Highway, H Highway, Easton Saxton Road, 85th Road) as officials monitor additional routes and urge drivers to turn around when water is present. - ➤ The St. Joseph Public Library is hosting summer programs to mark America's 250th anniversary, with the first event this evening at East Hills Library at 5:30 p.m. featuring author Dorinda Nicholson presenting Pearl Harbor Child, a book offering a child's view of wartime events on the library website.
