- ➤ The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce celebrated Small Business Week today by leading a member crawl and will hold an insurance workshop this evening to help small businesses learn key skills. Chamber spokesperson Kristi Bailey said a two-day Virtual Summit starts today—featuring a social media strategy workshop—and seminars are scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday to support local businesses. - ➤ Spring has arrived in Saint Joseph and Friends of the Animal Shelter warned pet owners that ticks and fleas can spread diseases like Lyme and paralysis to their pets. The shelter will hold low-cost rabies vaccination clinics today at Lindbergh Elementary School and later at Hosea Elementary School, with additional clinics on May 8th at Church of the Nazarene, May 13th at Skaith Elementary School, and May 15th at Mark Twain Elementary School from 6 to 8 p.m. with vaccines costing $5 or $10 for a combination shot.
