- ➤ St. Jo Frontier Casino hosted a ST JO CARES fundraiser earlier this month that raised nearly $4,000 for Friends of the Animal Shelter via matched donations up to $100. A check presentation takes place at 4:00 p.m. today at the casino ahead of National Shelter Pet Adoption Day tomorrow. St. Joseph Post
- ➤ Residents in St. Joseph will gather next Thursday at the Civic Arena for an annual prayer breakfast in honor of the National Day of Prayer; doors open at 6 a.m. and breakfast starts at 7 a.m. (VIP seating with breakfast from Gina’s costs $50, while general admission is free). St. Joseph Post
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The St. Joseph School District approved two new administrators for the 2026 – 27 school year. David Chaney will serve as principal at Webster Learning Center and Shantell Cross will become Administrative Intern at Robidoux Elementary, both effective July 1. St. Joseph Post

- ➤ The Missouri Department of Transportation & Clarkson Construction narrow northbound I-29 to one lane tonight from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. for girder placement on the Gene Field Road bridge project, with rolling closures causing up to 15-minute delays. St. Joseph Post
