- ➤ After a local child’s fishing gear was stolen in a break-in, Tim and Teresa Cordry donated extra equipment and launched a Facebook group—Take that kid fishing—to help get kids outside and enjoying nature, with the group now having 275 members. KQ2

- ➤ Niche of Time Jewelry in St. Joseph is hosting a Mother’s Day giveaway that will award one mom a free pendant designed by her child — the gift is valued at about $200 and entries can be submitted in store or by email until April 30. KQ2
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Shakespeare Chateau Guild hosted its first stained glass tour at the Shakespeare Chateau, showcasing art pieces including (47 original windows from 1885) that raised funds for education and future community projects. Tour organizer Robin Goodwin and owner Isobel McGowan, who described the windows as (incredible), said the tour will continue with additional home tours planned. KQ2
