- ➤ Area residents returned unused or expired prescription pills, sharps, and inhalers at the bi-annual Prescription Drug Take Back event held at East Hills Shopping Center. The Buchanan County Sheriff's Department, St. Joseph Police Department plus Youth Alliance Partners for Prevention collected about 630 pounds of pills, 220 pounds of sharps and syringes, and 35 pounds of inhalers for safe disposal.
