She studied Studio Art at MWSU and works as a firefighter while Hazel's Coffee owner Heather Mitchell praises her talent and reliability.

Parade organizer Pat Jones said the Northside Parade originally scheduled for this Saturday is postponed to May 17th due to a miscommunication among the City, Parks Department and St. Joseph Police Department.

Participants, including graduating seniors who will lead the parade, will meet at 11th and Grand at 10 a.m. along the same route.

Missouri Gov. Kehoe’s plan to add $50 million to a scholarship program for private and religious schools was cut from the budget by the Senate Appropriations Committee—Chairman Lincoln Hough said he prioritized fully funding public schools.

The committee also reduced funds for Capitol expansion and staffing, and concerns over federal Medicaid reimbursement remain as budget decisions continue.
