- ➤ The St. Joseph Public Library will host its 12th annual Library Trivia Night at the Fairview Golf Course Banquet Room on April 26 at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 7:15 p.m. Teams of up to six adults will compete in eight rounds of trivia and a 50/50 drawing for prizes — the fundraising event costs $90 per table and does not require pre-registration. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ St. Joseph voters rejected the $157 million school bond issue during Tuesday’s election by nearly 54% voting against the proposed 60-cent school levy, forcing the school board and superintendent to reexamine their long-range plan for a new high school and fewer elementary schools. School officials will meet next Monday the 14th to decide whether to continue with the changes — recommendations from administration are expected. St. Joseph Post

- ➤ Several ramps in Andrew County are closed or will close due to a resurfacing project on Interstate 29. On Thursday, Route K to southbound I-29 exit 60 and southbound Route 71 to southbound I-29 exit 52 were closed — the I-29/I-229/Route 71 interchange, southbound I-29 to I-229 exit 56B, southbound I-29 to northbound Route 71 and northbound I-228 to southbound I-29 exit 14A are closed today — and southbound I-29 to Business Route 71 exit 53 will close Saturday.
