- ➤ The St. Joseph Public Library and Rolling Hills Library system are celebrating National Library Week (April 6th to April 12th) with the theme 'Drawn to the Library' to highlight diverse resources like Wi-Fi, computer access, and printing services while offering visitors prizes and drawings. KQ2
- ➤ Students from the St. Joseph School District will celebrate Earth Day at Robidoux Middle School with hands-on learning activities including building miniature solar homes — pollinator gardening, local pollution cleanup, and a sustainable business workshop. The district and the City invite community members to join the celebration and use an available Earth Day activity kit for home projects. KQ2
- ➤ St. Joseph voters Tuesday rejected a $157 million bond measure that would have raised the school tax levy by 60 cents to fund a new high school, with 6,081 votes against and 5,262 in favor. School Board VP Mike Moore said the defeat is a missed chance to address inequities in academic and activity offerings and to consolidate the district’s three high schools into two—remarks that highlight the disappointment among staff.
