- ➤ Students from the St. Joseph School District will celebrate Earth Day at Robidoux Middle School with hands-on learning activities including building miniature solar homes — pollinator gardening, local pollution cleanup, and a sustainable business workshop. - ➤ St. Joseph voters Tuesday rejected a $157 million bond measure that would have raised the school tax levy by 60 cents to fund a new high school, with 6,081 votes against and 5,262 in favor. School Board VP Mike Moore said the defeat is a missed chance to address inequities in academic and activity offerings and to consolidate the district’s three high schools into two—remarks that highlight the disappointment among staff.
