- ➤ Teacher John Hoffman, who has taught at Benton for 30 years, voiced his concerns over Prop 2 ahead of the April 8 ballot—he fears that reducing the system to two high schools will end the south side school and harm school safety. - ➤ Director Chuck Kempf retired today after 20 years with the St. Joseph Parks Department and led projects such as renovations at Krug Park—he also oversaw funding improvements for local playgrounds.
