- ➤ Missouri Western State University's Wildlife Society will host its second annual native plant sale from May 2nd—4th on campus, offering Missouri flowering plants for $4 each or $15 for bundles of four and welcoming drop-ins while recommending advanced orders. The sale and pickup will occur on the second floor of the Agenstein/Remington building with Friday hours from 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday order pickup from 9 a.m. to noon. - ➤ St. Joseph’s Dance Arts Center will host the 19th annual Chance to Dance benefit for Voices of Courage at the Missouri Theatre—11 dance studios will perform various dance styles and the show starts at 6 p.m. tomorrow. - ➤ Missouri Western will hold its second annual Esports summer camp from May 27 to 30 for children aged 10 to 17 that will focus on gaming, education and skill development. Registration will open online on April 14 with a fee of $150 for the full camp and $45 for one-day attendance, and sessions will run from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. KQ2

- ➤ On Thursday, Stuber Health Center held its Life Changers luncheon to thank volunteers and donors who support free medical, dental, and women's health care for many uninsured patients. The historic clinic — founded in 1913 — relies on city, county funding and donations to sustain its services. KQ2

- ➤ Luke Scheidecker was introduced as the 11th head coach for Missouri Western Women’s Basketball and he brings 231 wins from his time at Wabash Valley College — a record that highlights his winning approach — as he replaces Ashton Feldhaus. - ➤ Kids up to 12 years old can try out for the Midland Empire Seminoles football or cheerleading teams. Tryouts will be held on April 12 and 13 at Northside Fields, 3600 St. Joseph Avenue with football tryouts running from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and cheer tryouts open to children in 1st to 7th grade. KQ2
