  • Tonight, Geno’s Pizza at 809 Francis Street in St Joseph will host a trivia contest fundraiser for the Patee House and Jesse James Home. JoeTown 107.5’s Gregg Lynn will host the contest where a $10 entry fee is required—additional donations are welcome and pizza will be served.  St. Joseph Post

CRIME NEWS

  • A driver who allegedly fled a hit-and-run accident at Noyes and Messanie Streets on Wednesday evening was arrested after crashing about an hour later at North 22nd and Newport Streets—hitting a parked car and a tree and leaving one person with minor injuries.  St. Joseph Post

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • MoDOT is asking local residents to share how they travel by filling out a survey on its website. Deputy Director Eric Schroeter said the feedback will guide future projects to improve the transportation system — regional public input sessions will be held soon.  St. Joseph Post

HEALTH NEWS

  • Family Guidance Center’s Behavioral Health Urgent Care in St. Joseph marked its second anniversary as it helped about 1,300 people with mental health issues in 2024—this was a 288 percent jump in referrals from 2023. Most patients, about 80 percent, went home after care, and the clinic stays open for anyone who needs help.  KQ2
