COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Beautify St. Joseph kicked off its 2025 season this weekend as over 40 volunteers gathered to pick up trash along 12 blocks downtown. Terry Turbak (chairperson) said the event showed strong community support as Mayor John Josendale (proclaimed April as Litter Awareness Month).  KQ2
  • At East Hills Shopping Centre, the Noyes Home honored 45 community members during a kindness event that featured free carousel rides, food, vendors, and videos showing local stories (including a $14,000 donation from the Southside Sertoma Club) that raised funds for the home.  KQ2

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On March 29th at 4:10 p.m., the St. Joseph Police Department reported that a juvenile riding a bike on South 22nd Street was struck by a car and taken to Mosaic with minor injuries—no arrests were made.  KQ2

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Mid-Buchanan Winter Guard finished third in the Circuit Championships as they competed against teams from Bentonville, Lees Summit West, Fort Zumwalt — and others in Springfield, Mo.  KQ2
