- ➤ Terra James, a local runner fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, is $1,200 short of her goal as she prepares to run in the Boston Marathon next month — pet lovers can help by entering a contest for $15 per pet — with entries due by 12:00 p.m. on April 5 and the winner announced on April 6. - ➤ Big Brothers Big Sisters St. Joseph held its Empower Auction on March 22nd at InspireU in downtown St. Joseph to honor four community members—Lute and Lauren Atieh, Natalie Hawn, Todd Joe, and Chris Roush—and raise funds for local programs. The event featured live and silent auctions + food, drinks and music. KQ2

- ➤ Benton boys and girls basketball teams finished second in the Class 4 Show Me Showdown when the boys lost 81—45 to Vashon and the girls lost a close 63—59 contest to Doniphan.
