- ➤ The St. Joseph Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting the Show Me St. Jo Experience—a guided bus tour that takes families and groups around museums with updated exhibits, catered lunch, a commemorative t-shirt and a certificate signed by the mayor for $25 per person. - ➤ The Friends of the St. Joseph Public Library will host a vintage and collectible book sale at the Downtown Library on March 28—29, with a members-only preview at 9:00 a.m. on March 28. The sale will offer over 2,000 donated books and run from 10:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m. on March 28 and 9:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m. on March 29 with items priced at $3 and up. KQ2

ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Two men were injured in a crash on U.S. 169 at Route D in Andrew County on Wednesday when a Dodge Caravan driven by a 59-year-old man from St. Joseph—who was not wearing his seat belt—failed to yield and was struck by a Buick Envision driven by a 70-year-old man from Albany; both were taken to Mosaic Life Care with serious and moderate injuries, respectively. - ➤ Missouri Western State University has grown its cybersecurity program from 3 to 32 students since it launched in fall 2021 + it now has a new lab in the Houlne Center for Convergent Technology where students train in threat detection and mitigation. Graduates can earn starting salaries of $80,000 to $90,000 in a field expected to grow eight percent over the next 10 years. St. Joseph Post
- ➤ UMKC is expanding its dentistry program with a new satellite campus at Missouri Western to help offset the shortage of dentists. The expansion will offer additional training opportunities for students in St. Joseph. News-Press NOW

- ➤ Today, the St. Joseph Port Authority begins a $2 million project funded by ARPA money to renovate the Missouri River port by installing a new sheet metal wall along the river bank south of the port to reduce erosion and improve crane efficiency—helping the port unload heavy cargo more effectively.
