- ➤ At Civic Arena on Sunday, the community gathered for the 40th Annual Heart of America Chili Challenge and raised over $100,000 for United Cerebral Palsy programs. Team Purina led efforts with $41,000 in the People’s Choice Division + other teams were recognized for their contributions. St. Joseph Post
- ➤ Persisterhood-St. Joseph will host its 'Give to Gain' donation drive-thru and petition event on Saturday, March 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the parking lot on 10th Street — next to First Christian Church — where donations will support Sparkle Peach and the Community Services Diaper Depot. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Missouri Western State University will launch five accelerated master’s programs via seven-week courses beginning March 9 to help local professionals finish degrees in 12 to 18 months, with additional start dates set later this year.
