  • The St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce, United Way & Community Alliance will host Imagine St. Joseph 2040 at inspireU on Feb. 24. The morning event features a keynote breakfast with futurist Rebecca Ryan and a free workshop that invites residents to update the city's long-term plan, with a $25 registration fee for the meal.  St. Joseph Post

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Saint Joseph Symphony has announced a Women’s March concert set for Saturday, March 28, at 7:00 p.m. at the historic Missouri Theater, featuring works by pioneering and contemporary women in classical music with a pre-concert wine reception beginning at 6:00 p.m.  St. Joseph Post

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Missouri Western State University’s Career Development Center will host an All Majors Career Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at the Fulkerson Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students may interview with 60+ employers and use the Career Closet for free attire and headshots while early arrivals win a prize.  St. Joseph Post

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Students from the Student Voice Alliance met with city officials at Empower U in downtown to share ideas on reducing homelessness, cleaning up streets and improving youth outreach via TikTok. Officials said the group will continue meeting through the summer to refine their proposals.  St. Joseph Post
