- ➤ Girl Scout troops are selling cookies. They will run booths Wednesday at Castle Bridge Event Center at 5:00 p.m., Thursday & Friday at Hyvee, and on Valentine's Day at Texas Roadhouse from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.; online orders include free shipping Feb. 21 to 22 for minimum four packages. - ➤ Second Harvest Community Food Bank has been approved for $250,000 in Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) credits that allow business and property owners to reduce their tax liability by 50% on donations of $500 or more. The program supports donations across 15 counties in northwest Missouri and three counties in northeast Kansas. KQ2
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ MoDOT and RS Electric will upgrade traffic signals at the Belt Highway and Messanie Street intersection starting Monday, Feb. 16 through Mar. 8. During the project, access to and from Messanie Street will be closed & drivers will continue to use the Belt Highway. KQ2

- ➤ Local high school basketball teams lead the updated poll as the Benton Cardinals ranked No. 2 in Class 4, Mid-Buchanan placed third in Class 3, and North Platte listed at seventh — Nodaway Valley and Gallatin Bulldogs also receive votes. KQ2
