- ➤ Fred the dog broke through a frozen pond in his owner's yard and was rescued by SJFD — who used warm blankets and cuddles to help him recover — with his family relieved after the incident. KQ2
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of St. Joseph announced that several offices and facilities are closed or have limited hours today for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, with the landfill operating from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the recycling center open with regular hours. KQ2

- ➤ The St. Joseph Area Sports Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the class of 2026 to honor athletes, coaches and media who have impacted Buchanan County sports. Eligible nominees must meet local criteria + nominations close in March with induction scheduled for late August. KQ2
