- ➤ Local businesses joined the Chamber of Commerce yesterday for a marketing workshop on preparing for the upcoming World Cup in Kansas City. The session covered digital tactics and local culture, and the next meeting will be held Feb. 9 at The Launch Pad. KQ2

- ➤ The St. Joseph School Board will discuss its reorganization plan and early childhood program changes Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Troester Media Center. Officials plan to reduce costs and support English Language Learners with supplemental materials. KQ2

- ➤ MoDOT has planned road maintenance & construction projects in multiple counties from Jan. 12 to mid-2026, affecting bridges and roads in Atchison, Buchanan, Carroll and others. Motorists should expect lane narrowing and flagger-guided traffic during work times. St. Joseph Post
