- ➤ Mo Family Sports launched its Family Assist Fund to waive youth basketball registration fees for up to 100 kids on free or reduced lunch, and it will host its Champions for a Cause tournament later this month to raise funds for the program. St. Joseph Post
- ➤ Bikers for Christ will host the Polar Bear Benefit Ride tomorrow in St. Joseph to help the Stephenson family as their adopted son fights Stage 4 liver cancer. The ride starts at noon at Green Valley Church (3110 Cook Rd) and ends at the Fire House in Savannah. St. Joseph Post
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Area residents can help by donating blood this winter to boost a vital supply as donations drop; those giving blood from now until Jan. 5 will receive a free long-sleeve shirt (donations between Jan. 5 and Jan. 31 enter a Super Bowl ticket drawing). St. Joseph Post
